oOh!media is a fast growing out of home advertising company operating in Australia and New Zealand.  oOh! provides media solutions that target consumers via digital and static screens in specific locations and activations, and also through online publishing.

Objective

We were appointed more than ten years ago to support the corporate reputation of oOh!media, to support its sales funnel and boost investor awareness of its business strategy.

What we did

We developed a strategy to raise oOh!media’s profile with advertisers and investors to shift perception to it being a fast growing, multi-platform media company, and an essential ‘media-buy’.

We set about to build the credibility and the profile of the company’s CEO, Brendon Cook, and positioned him as a Pioneer of the out-of-home sector – with a clear vision for the future.

We created an ongoing media outreach program targeting financial, business and trade advertising media. We developed messaging, seeded key stories and launched many new products to share the company’s strategy and continually educate them on new ideas, technologies and growth opportunities beyond billboards. Over the years we have profiled novel, multi-format breaking campaigns that position oOh! as a provider of effective, multi-format advertising solutions, as opposed to just signage.
As the company grew the communications strategy always kept pace with progressive business developments – however the core of all communications focussed on oOh!’s leadership in the evolution of out-of-home.

During our long term relationship, we’ve also successfully managed the communication for the company’s return to the ASX after being acquired by private equity three years ago with the IPOs attracting strong interest from investors and research houses.

Results

oOh!media now basks in media coverage, and has the largest share-of-voice of its competitors in the sector.   We have established long lasting relationships with relevant media and have transformed their perceptions of oOh! from a billboard provider to a fast growing media solutions company whose assets transcend physical signage to online publishing, with sophisticated data smarts.

Brendon Cook is now seen as the “go-to” commentator in the out-of-home sector, with regular speaking invitations, most recently at ADMA TechMix conference.   As a result of updating and growing oOh! media’s profile, oOh! has received business and industry awards, building stronger relationships with decision makers and enjoys a healthy share price.
