Gaining international exposure

Founded in 2005, Switch Media is an Australian owned and managed multi-platform video specialist and OTT/IPTV systems integrator, with expertise in Internet TV, mobile TV and user interface applications.

Objective

Boost Switch Media’s exposure and profile locally and internationally, and as a result drive demand for its streaming services.

What we did

To help Switch shape its core narrative and key messages, Lighthouse undertook a communications, competitor and environmental audit and boosted this intel with insights from digital sentiment tracking and online research.

We also reviewed Switch’s content and channel strategy, identifying key opportunities to build and enhance its profile around current activities such as: streaming the Australian Open across the Seven Network, new ad insertion technology and agreements with major local broadcasters.

To support PR efforts, and create awareness among stakeholders, Lighthouse developed rich video content that was used to tell the company’s powerful narrative across its online channels, sales presentations and for use with media.

Outcome

Switch Media is now a ‘go to’ commentator for streaming and related issues including ad-blocking, quality of streaming services and the growth of streaming services.

It has achieved strong media profile across IT, media, business and mainstream media, which has translated to business leads locally and internationally.

Its recent appearance at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), where Switch launched its Ad insertion software, AdEase, attracted more than 30 articles in national and international media.
