Peter has almost 20 years’ experience in the communications industry.
He has worked as a senior journalist, marketing communications executive, media advisor to a former government environment minister, a senior consultant for leading public relations agencies in Australia and the United Kingdom, corporate relations manager and a senior public relations executive for major corporations and industry groups.
As a consultant, Peter has assisted a number of blue chip corporations and small start up companies influence regulation, reposition themselves with stakeholders, enhance reputation, launch new brand and products and manage media.
In addition to holding senior consulting positions, Peter has held senior public relations positions with the London Housing Unit, Australian Hotels Association, the State Chamber of Commerce NSW and one of Australia’s largest corporations, Telstra.
Chris has more than 13 years experience in the media and public relations industry in Australia. He has worked as a journalist, political advisor, lobbyist and senior corporate affairs executive at a major Australian corporation.
Chris spent a number of years working for News Limited in Sydney before taking on a position as principal advisor and press aecretary for a senior NSW Shadow Minister and Opposition Leader.
Following his stint in the NSW Parliament, Chris joined the commercial property industry’s peak lobby group, the Property Council of Australia, as its director of public affairs, where he was responsible for developing communication and lobbying campaigns to support the association’s policy objectives.
Prior to joining Lighthouse Communications Group, Chris held a number of senior communications positions with Telstra Corporation, including media manager for its mobile phone division, Head of Corporate Affairs for business and government and Head of External Public Relations.
Robin has more than 10 years’ experience in journalism and public relations — acquired in Australia and overseas. His journalistic career includes both general and specialist reporting, namely science and technology, international affairs and motoring — for print and online media.
Robin’s public relations experience has been gathered both in-house within public and private organisations of various sizes and in agencies, providing expertise in media relations, event and issues management and production. Key events he has been involved with include a regional launch of the Microsoft Windows software platform, a large American regional trade fair and several editions of the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney.
Other clients he has serviced include airport management company BAA, Coca-Cola, Toyota Australia and sectors such as hospitality and finance. His experience also includes creating and managing websites as well as French translation.
Jo is the newest member of Lighthouse Communications Group.
Jo recently completed a Diploma of Business majoring in Public Relations and Marketing at Macleay College whilst undertaking a three-month internship with Lighthouse Communication Group.
A talented communicator, Jo’s strengths lie in event management and media relations. Previously, Jo worked in the hospitality, financial services and fashion industries.
Tony has over 20 years experience in media, government, issues management, public relations and media and communications training.
He has worked as a newspaper journalist in Sydney and the United Kingdom; served as a press secretary to former NSW Premier and former State Government Ministers for Health, Police and Justice; and managed the NSW office of a leading international public relations firm.
He has a wealth of experience in dealing with the media in relation to positive publicity and contentious situations and is an experienced writer and author of four books.
