Public Relations Account Executive

We’re looking for an energetic professional with a couple of years’ of industry experience to come and join our team at Lighthouse Communications in the Sydney CBD.

If you’re a strong writer and an enthusiastic team member who isn’t afraid to get involved and get their ideas heard, you’ll fit right in. We don’t want a shrinking violet who sits at their desk, but someone who can roll their sleeves up and get stuck in from day one.

We’re a small PR and integrated marketing team, but our clients are some of Australia’s most valuable brands across the corporate, government, not-for-profit and consumer sectors. Unlike at a big agency, you won’t be just a cog in the machine. You’ll get all the mentoring and early responsibilities you need to build your career, quickly. In fact, you’ll report directly to the Managing Director, who’ll share his many years of experience to help you produce your best work.

So, what do you need to bring to the table?

Ideally, we want someone with 12-18 months post-university industry experience who is a creative thinker and a problem solver – and who already knows the traditional and digital media landscape. More specifically, we’d like to see as many of the following attributes as possible:

A genuine interest in writing and storytelling

12-18 months experince in PR and integrated marketing

Strong verbal communication skills (like we said, no shrinking violets!)

Knowledge of social media advertising platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc)

Basic knowledge of the Google Ads interface

Customer service and social media community management experience

You also need to be an Australian resident with a degree in Communications or a related field.
